Winner of the Best Photograph Competition

Hello everyone. We hope you are all well.

We have now chosen the winner for the Best Photograph of the Month Competition as featured in the March April issue of Sixtyplusurfers.

The winning entry is ‘Boat on Barra Beach’ by Chat & Socialise member Little Owl.

We loved the magical quality of the picture and its composition. The long rope draws you into the scene, and you are immediately captivated by the abandoned boat with its splash of blue paint.

The beach is tranquil and deserted, but there is so much to see in this one picture with grass, sand, pebbles, water, and mountains in the distance behind. All set off with a brooding, cloudy sky. Fabulous!

The prize is a Gift Voucher to Spend at Prezzybox.

Thank you to everyone who entered the competition, there were some really stunning photographs. We all enjoyed looking through them. Well done to all of our entrants!

We now have a brand new Competition on the Chat & Socialise page to win a Luxurious Teddy Throw from Robert Dyas. We’ve got two to give away!

To enter, just tell us why you would like to win in the ‘Teddy Throw' Group on the Sixtyplusurfers Chat & Socialise page.

Congratulations again to Little Owl for sending in such a great entry.

And thank you again to everyone who entered our competition.

Best wishes

Thank you so much for choosing my photograph from all the many entries. It is a real compliment. The photo is from our holiday last year to the Isle of Barra which is part of the Outer Hebrides of Scotland.

It is a beautiful, unspoilt, quiet place and full of wonderful scenery like this and of course their wonderful little airport where the planes land on the beach.

Thanks once again. xx
