Friendly and outgoing - always like to have a project and adore learning new things.
I love gardening, knitting, patchwork and all fabric based skills. Recently enjoyed painting old furniture and reupholstered a favourite chair. I went to university at 48 and gained a first so must be fairly intelligent. I love my family and enjoy my friends. Recently widowed and getting used to planning my life around just me - still don't know what I want to be when I grow up!!!
What can I say to bring some comfort - only that I have been there too, and I really think the only way is to keep as busy as you can and do not think too hard about the future - you will find that takes care of itself!
Looking at your profile you look and sound an upbeat lady! Also an intelligent one at that, gaining a university 1st at 48!
As each day passes, the hurt will lessen and you will find comfort in your treasured memories I'm sure.
Vicky and Jenny - thank you for making me feel at home here.
Being incredibly busy is definitely my way forward - do still get some down times but handling them better now. You are so right Vicky about letting go of the future - I used to be such a planner but I am learning to live in the now and letting the rest follow! Brian seems to have left me a little of his calmness.
Greeting and best wishes to all xxx
