The one I have is at least 12 years old, if not more. Takes a long time to mow my lawn now. I know everyone probably says they have an old lawn mower :)
Be 'quick as a flash' out of my shed door
From it's neat and tidy, upright EasiStore
Fully charged! Drop my batteries in
Earn my stripes - then a well earned gin!
I'm a big fan of Flymo. We had the original Flymo hover mower. We got it way back in the eighties as a wedding gift. It actually gave up the ghost last year! Even then the motor was still working but the plastic holding the handle on had gradually disintegrated. I did try taping the thing on!
We had planned to buy a new mower this year, but with two family members in the shielding category decided it wasn't important enough to brave the stores for. I already have a cordless strimmer, and got by with that, though the lawn is far from looking it's best and my back isn't too impressed either.
Having discovered the joy of cordless though I'm definitely a convert. This beauty looks perfect!
My husband isn’t getting any younger (like all of us) and dragging our heavy petrol mower to the front is getting harder. We could keep this flymo in the garage to do the front lawn. So thank you for the opportunity of winning this x
This Flymo I would love to win
Then old Mac Mower can go in t' bin.
No flex to trip and easy to store
I couldn't really wish for more.
I would love to win this Flymo, as it would help to give a purpose to my enforced daily walk which has become a necessity since waking up paralysed 15 years ago. I would feel that I had achieved something, walking behind a mower which is easy enough for me to use - and no cord for me to trip over. I'd be very happy to sit in the garden in the afternoons, looking at the fruits of my morning's labour - and with 4 lawns to keep in trim it would get plenty of use, and I would gets lots of exercise :)
I love Flymo mowers and, as mine has just given up on me, my grass is in desperate need of cutting so to win this would be wonderful.
Our old corded lawnmower is an electrical hazard as it doesn't reach the end of the garden so we have to use an extension lead - very dangerous. How easy would a cordless mower be to use!
My neighbour asked if she could use my lawnmower
I told her of course she could, so long as she didn't take it out of my garden.
I really dislike mowing the lawn, maybe this would make it more bearable. Was going to give up the lawn, but appreciate the insect habitat is needed for the birds. So I mow on
