I'm in Hong Kong at the moment. We came over to watch the rugby sevens and have had a great time. We are now off to Thailand for a bit of 'doing nothing" before going to Singapore to stay with our son and family and then back to "chilly" UK. I love Hong Kong. People from all over the world came for the rugby and turned it into one big party.
That's a great photo - what a view behind the stadium. I hope you have a wonderful holiday. Jenny
Hi Liz, it sounds like you had a fabulous holiday. And what a lovely photograph of you with the elephant. Jenny

That sounds fun, and something to look forward to. And at least you're guaranteed hot weather!
Last June we decided to take our camper van to Orkney & Shetland. for a month. We mostly do wild camping which means just stopping somewhere for the night (not in a campsite). The ferry from mainland Scotland is just 1 1/2 hours to Stromness orkney. We spent 2 weeks touring as many of the amazing Norse & prehistoric sites that are so numerous on Orkney. There are so many.many older and in better condition than Stonehenge . We camped in a different spot every night. All the locals were extremely friendly and very helpful.
Then it was time to take the ferry from Kirkwall to Lerwick Shetland. We were a little worried about the crossing as it takes 8 hours overnight. and Bramble our English Setter had to stay in the van. But 'No Problem' he was still asleep when we returned to the van! Shetland! what an amazing place, So wild, so beautiful and sooo windy!! A bird watchers paradise with hidden beaches, magnificent cliffs , and for Barbara, my wife a knitters paradise.
Some of the night stops were stunning. this one in particular..
The highlight was a visit to Herma Ness RSPB reserve on the island of Unst and to the furthermost northerly point in Great Britain and the lighthouse of Muckle Flugga, what a wild place this is with an enormous Gannet colony, and being dive bombed by Great Skuas as they guard their nests.
We Love Shetland so much, the wildness of its landscape the friendliness of its people and the way they keep alive the traditions and crafts. We are going back again this year but spending 4 weeks in Shetland.
I hope the pictures come in the right order, if not I'm sure you can sort them out.
I do like the sound of your 'wild camping' holiday. I can see you had a great time. How exciting just to get in your camper van and drive to wherever you like. The Shetlands look really beautiful. Excellent photos. Jenny
My best holiday is a trip to WDW Florida. it is for all ages, not just for children. The parks are wonderful, and have rides for all ages, both thrilling and easy going. My fav park was Typhoon Lagoon, there you could swim in the worlds largest wave pool, relax under the palm trees, or take a lovely trip on the big tyres on the lazy river. We also went to Kennedy Space Centre, which was wonderful, and being a huge Harry Potter fan, the Harry potter world, and walking through "Hogwarts was wonderful.
