My cousin found mouse droppings in her kitchen cupboards so spent ages bleaching every item in them, she purchased a humane mouse trap and that evening caught the mouse. A couple of days later she phoned to say she'd found mouse droppings in the cupboards again and had to go through all the bleaching once more, and again she caught the mouse. A couple of days later had the same problem and by this time was so fed up with having to bleach everything. I said you must have a family of mice somewhere. Oh no she replied it's the same one I recognize it as it has the tip of it's tail missing. Puzzled I asked her where she was releasing it. Well It's getting a bit cold outside and I felt sorry for it she replied so I let it go in the garage. Her garage is integral and attached to the kitchen.
My neighbour Bill is a bit deaf but won't admit it. Bill was going to the supermarket and asked his wife Bev if she needed anything, Yes please she said, would you get some butternut squash. We had to laugh when she told us that Bill came home with, Butter, a packet of peanuts, and a bottle of orange squash.
I'm not so sure about senior moments but we had a lovely teenage moment when we had had great nephew come to stay with us for a few days.
Luke was around twelve at the time and we'd had a full day taking him out and entertaining him, by nine o'clock he was ready for bed and went up stairs to have a shower and get his jim jams on, I suddenly heard him shout down
"Aunty I've forgot my toothpaste" there's some under the bathroom sink I replied, a few moments later I heard Luke's muffled voice calling down the stairs trying to tell my something, I rushed up stairs to see Luke in a panic trying to open his mouth, holding a tube of my denture fixative it was the funnest thing ever, It's the first time in 10 years that I found having dentures funny.
