Late 80s early 90s this was our favourite Bar B Q spot just on the horse shoe bends on the Leeds & Liverpool canal. The first boat a 50ft narrow boat owned by Richard my friend the second boat is Lillian my narrow boat 40 ft long. We would arrive Saturday morning and stay till Sunday afternoon.

Coming out of the mile tunnel you were allowed 30 minutes to sail through it. At each end were traffic lights.

I hope all the sygnets survived, They eventually came over to the moorings for a feed and I got some lovely pictures the parents stood back while the little ones fed and they looked so proud. Will put them on later

Love the tree photo Christine. I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time travelling in 2011 and one of the memorable places I visited was Ta Prohm in Cambodia, a temple that has been taken over by the trees of the jungle.  Your photo is of the early stages of trees fighting back. Mine shows what it's like when they win!!
